Responsibilities

Peraton is looking to hire a Scrum Master.  This will be a remote role.

This program will support a customer that develops, enhances, and expand defense system capabilities using the Scaled Agile Large Solution Framework (SAFe) processes. The program itself will Vet personnel for security access, suitability, and credentialing.  Preserve clearance, suitability, fitness, and credentialing adjudication decisions, and c ontinuously evaluate cleared and trusted personnel,  i ntegrate and share information with other Federal Agencies and e nable shared information to be used to identify and mitigate Insider Threat risks.

What you'll do:

  • Lead assigned Scrum Team in prioritizing features, user stories, and identifying team velocity while working with Product Owners to identify priorities, participate in Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, and lead team daily stand-up meetings.
  • Work collaboratively among cross-functional teams and multiple vendors to execute timely releases of code and l ead a team to provide development and/or sustainment of a software environment that covers the entire Software Development Life-cycle using current methodologies to include Continuous Deployment, Agile, and Development Operations (DevOps).
  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms, c onsult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements and p erform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of others on the development team while p articipating in development of software user manuals and technical reports.
  • Provide support to the Chief Enterprise Architect, the Release Train Engineer (RTE), and Senior Leadership. Coordinate intra-team, external-team, cross-ART, and cross-functional cooperation to facilitate synergy and success across the Program, a ssist the Govt. Product Owners in meeting their duties and responsibilities and managing the Product Backlog.
  • Lead team in working on unusually complex technical problems and provide product solutions in accordance with Agile Methodologies and c oordinate and support weekly synchronization meetings with the client, serving as the focal point between Peraton and the client.
  • Attend Program-Level Ceremonies and Reviews on behalf of the Scrum Team and brief Team status during Quarterly Program Increment Planning sessions.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Education:  12 years with a BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA or 7 years with a Ph.D.
  • Clearance:  Active Secret clearance
  • Experience with software development (such as Java or Pega) and full-stack development
  • Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, system development life cycle and project management frameworks
  • Experience in AWS Web Server, cloud architecture and  CI/CD experience preferred. 
  • Familiarity with ticketing system, such as ServiceNow
  • Utility Tools knowledge (JIRA/Confluence/GitLab/Artifactory)
  • MSOffice Suite / Microsoft 365 proficiency required
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to foster collaborative relationships with customers, teaming partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to resolve customer issues very quickly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile SAFe 4.5/5.0 Certification or equivalent is strongly recommended

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
