Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to treat a variety of speech and language disorders in children and adults. They assist in assessing clients' language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing and implement treatment plans as directed by the SLP.
