What You Will Do

The Logistics Category Manager manages the contracting and relationships between Freshpet and all Logistics and services providers (warehouse, HPP, carriers, and services). Ensures current Logistics providers achieve expected results and provides leadership for problem solving and metric development. Provides thought leadership and vision for the future direction of services providers.

How Will You Make an Impact

• Manages the relationships with all Logistics providers in support of Logistics leadership.
• Primary point of contact with logistics companies for strategic partnership
• First escalation point for systemic/ongoing issues with logistics suppliers
• Provides leadership for problem solving/continuous improvement of systemic issues
• Evaluates existing supplier relationships and manages RFPs for new solutions
• Sources new partnerships with Logistics providers, as well as new operational models to prepare for the future
• Project management from inception to launch of new supplier and services solutions
• Establishes and leverages metrics to reduce costs and improve service from providers
• Leads periodic business reviews with Logistics providers to ensure contract compliance
• Contract management of 3PL Warehouses, Carriers, Services, and HPP providers

What You Will Bring

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or Logistics; or equivalent experience
• 5 to 8 years of experience in category management and logistics, supply chain, or warehouse leadership roles
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills
• Able to influence others & manage conflict
• Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
• Extremely high standards of excellence
